Emperor Dumpling will open its largest Manhattan location yet.
The 6,250-square-foot space, located at 688 Eighth Ave. two blocks away from Times Square, was previously home to a McDonald's.
Emperor Dumpling's latest location is expected to open in mid-May and will be the first to offer breakfast.
Twenty employees will work at this location.
The lease is for 10 years. Asking rent was $50,000 per month.
Isa Realty Group’s Jack Hurley and Louis Franco represented Emperor Dumpling on the deal with MacArthur Holdings, the landlord.
“Emperor Dumpling is the perfect fit for 688 Eighth Ave. — it brings fast, flavorful and affordable food to a high-traffic corridor alongside national retailers like Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack and McDonald’s,” Hurley said in an email statement. “Between commuters, tourists, theatergoers and the local workforce, there’s tremendous demand for high-quality quick-service comfort food, and Emperor Dumpling delivers exactly that.”
Owned by Fred Chen, Emperor Dumpling has four locations with two in NoMad and one each in Midtown East and on the Upper East Side.
